Structural Mechanics Module

The exercises in this course treat multiphysics structural analysis and illustrate the unique features and user interfaces of COMSOL Multiphysics. The exercises include:

• Import a 3D geometry from a COMSOL native geometry format, how to create the mesh, set boundary conditions and material properties, and how to solve the model.
• Create a symmetric model of a orthotropic composite cylinder. The exercise then adds thermal expansion to the model.
• Multiphysics contact modeling. Besides learning to use multiphysics coupling between structural and thermal effects. You will also learn how to apply contact features that allow for multiphysics contact.
