Thermal Decomposition of a Chemical through a Parallel Plate Reactor
This model investigates the unimolecular decomposition of a chemical passing through a parallel plate reactor. The heat sensitive compound is present in a water solution.
After entering the reactor, the liquid first experiences expansion, due to a step-change in geometry at the bottom plate. Before exiting the reactor, the fluid also passes a heated cylinder.
