Zoom in on microelectromechanical devices with the MEMS course. MEMS devices bring in the full range of physical effects from electrostatics to heat transfer to mechanical stresses and strains and more. COMSOL Multiphysics' approach makes it easier to model such phenomena in both coupled and uncoupled ways. This course will guide you through examples involving a variety of coupled effects and modeling techniques. You will learn how to analyze actuators and sensors with the combined effects of electromagnetics, ohmic heat loss, heat dissipation, thermal expansion, and structural deformation.

Suggested Background

This 1-day course builds upon the attendee's prior knowledge of creating and solving models in COMSOL Multiphysics. Although the Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics course is not a prerequisite, we strongly recommend that those new to COMSOL Multiphysics take that course prior to attending this course.
